Psychological Associate

Taleen Sahakian, MA, MBA

Therapeutic Approach:
I am an empathetic Psychological Associate who strives to make a positive impact in people’s lives.  I specialize in working with adults, young adults, teenagers, and children and create a safe, confidential, and judgement-free space for my clients. By working collaboratively with you and providing support along your journey, I can help you transform your mindset and relationship with yourself and others.

I use a combination of therapeutic approaches and interventions in sessions based on the individual needs of each client to help uncover positive beliefs, regain hope, and explore solutions that will help you thrive. These include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure & response prevention (ERP), psychodynamic therapy, psychoeducation, reframing, mindfulness training, positive psychology & structured problem solving. I work with each client to explore their relationship patterns, develop solutions, identify strengths, and develop coping skills that will lead them to living happy and successful lives. I work with clients who would like to make progress with their symptoms of anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, low self-esteem, relationship issues, and stress management.

Background:
I received my Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage, Family and Child from Palo Alto University.  I am currently earning my PsyD in Applied Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I also have a second master’s degree from USC with a MBA in Leadership. In addition to my graduate studies, I have worked at a few private practices as an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (AMFT). Working as a therapist is a second career since I worked in the Entertainment industry leading a marketing team for many years. I made the career switch to psychology since I find fulfillment in helping others reach their personal and professional goals.
