Samantha Cohen, Psy.D.

Therapeutic Approach: I view psychotherapy as a collaborative process that fosters self-exploration, growth, and healing. As a therapist, I utilize a psychodynamic, relational, and insight-oriented approach. I am passionate about working with individuals struggling with challenges such as mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, grief and loss, eating disorders, body image concerns, phase of life transitions, family conflict and relationship concerns.

Background: I received my Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology and M.A. in Psychology from Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology. I completed an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at California State University Fullerton Counseling and Psychological Services. I have provided psychotherapy to adults of all ages in a variety of settings, including community mental health clinics, university counseling centers and hospital/medical centers.
