Michael Couse, D.O.

Dr. Michael Couse is a board-certified adult psychiatrist. He received his undergraduate degree at University of California, Santa Barbara and received his medical degree (D.O.) at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. He then received his psychiatry residency training at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center in Sylmar, California followed by completing his child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship in June 2023.

Dr. Couse believes in a holistic, patient-focused approach. He utilizes evidence-based practices including psychopharmacology, therapy modalities (cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based psychotherapy), nutrition/supplements and exercise. He has experience treating a variety of conditions including anxiety disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), mood disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), personality disorders, psychotic disorders, trauma-related disorders, and the psychiatric comorbidities associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder. His primary goal is to empower his patients to lead fulfilling lives by enhancing their understanding of their conditions and equipping them with the necessary tools to manage their mental health.
