Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist

Jenna Cheng, D.O.

I am a board-certified adult psychiatrist currently training in child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Harbor UCLA-Medical center. I received my undergraduate degree in cognitive science at UC San Diego and completed medical school and residency at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania. Throughout training, I developed a profound appreciation for the psychodynamic approach rooted in attachment theory, supplemented with mindfulness, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, CBT, and a framework that emphasizes your strengths. I enjoy working with patients of all ages and am a firm believer in the importance of a strong therapeutic relationship. I treat a variety of mental health conditions but am particularly interested in mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, and psychotic symptoms. My training in trauma and family work leads me to appreciate the uniqueness of each patient’s story. I look forward to working with you in an individualized approach toward wellbeing in a culturally sensitive way.
