Background
I received my Ph.D. in 2023 from Rosemead School of Psychology at Biola University, an APA-accredited school. I also have a B.A. in Psychology and Social Behavior from the University of California, Irvine. My pre-doctoral internship was completed in Redlands, California, through the program at Loma Linda University Health System. I additionally remained at Loma Linda post-internship in the women’s health department with an emphasis on supporting the maternal fetal medicine unit and high-risk pregnancies. During that time, my focus was primarily on perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, pregnancy and infant loss, and supportive therapeutic services for complex and chronic medical conditions during pregnancy. My clinical training and experiences have focused on individual work with children, adolescents and adults, couples and family therapy, and group treatment in a variety of settings. I have provided client-centered psychological care for anxiety and mood disorders, grief/loss, perinatal and postpartum difficulties, and complex and chronic medical conditions.
Therapeutic Approach
When working with clients, I aim to provide a warm and containing therapeutic space where they feel empowered to work through their prior and ongoing psychological, emotional, and relational difficulties. As an integrative therapist, I typically utilize a more psychodynamic approach in conjunction with other evidence-based interventions to assist clients with their repetitious and maladaptive patterns of thoughts and behaviors that can leave them feeling stuck, overwhelmed, and alone. In my work I predominantly rely on the importance of a strong therapeutic relationship to help foster a supportive and collaborative space for clients. Furthermore, I perceive clients as the experts in their own experience, along with the manifestation of their many interactions, prior experiences, and hopes for their future self. I truly enjoy learning about each individual client and hope to aid them in their journey through intentional self-exploration and direct psychological support.
