I received my Psy.D. degree after completing a predoctoral internship at Kaiser Permanente, Los Angeles Medical Care center, where I gained extensive experience diagnosing and treating those with diverse needs. I am currently a registered Post-Doctoral Psychological Associate in California, supervised by Dr. Heather Burton. I completed my Doctoral degree in Clinical psychology at an APA-accredited program within The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Anaheim, where I developed skills in viewing clients’ symptoms in the context of their relationships, cultural background, and individual needs. Through this whole person approach, I have skillfully guided my clients on healing journeys toward reducing common distressing symptoms, in turn increasing quality of life for them. Clients’ therapeutic gains were achieved using an integrative approach consisting of psychodynamic, person-centered, and evidence-based practices. I look forward to connecting with you warmly, compassionately, and empathically.
I have trained experience working primarily with adults but have worked with all ages, including college students. I have a passion for working with those whose challenges interfere with relationship functioning, those experiencing parenting challenges, or difficulties related to intergenerational conflict due to acculturative differences. I have a fundamental understanding that the human condition predisposes us to difficult life circumstances that can lead to symptoms of depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, and struggles with parenting among other clinical outcomes.
I practice with the philosophy that suffering can be transformed into opportunity to value life, as it is, blessings, challenges, and realities. I believe that an emotional crisis can be experienced in as many unique ways as there are lives on the planet and that universally we have the ability to regain a sense of balance, peace and life satisfaction with the right help. I have witnessed that freedom from clinical distress is fostered through a strong therapeutic alliance; therefore, I connect with my clients with kindness and compassion and build a solid foundation of trust and safety essential for healing.
