Therapeutic Approach: Beginning psychotherapy or psychological assessment services is an important decision, and one that can bring up a number of different, often powerful feelings. As a psychologist, my top priority is to create a safe, comfortable place where you can feel free to discuss your thoughts and feelings, and where we can develop a collaborative, authentic, therapeutic relationship. I believe that our relationship as client and therapist has the potential to mirror other relationships in your life, which can ultimately help us better understand some of the difficulties that you may be experiencing (both interpersonal and otherwise). I believe that each person requires something different and unique from therapy based on their own experiences, and as a result, I like to utilize a number of approaches including; psychodynamic, interpersonal, cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, strength-based, and mindfulness-based interventions. More generally, I strive to be fully present with you in each session so that I can encourage you to think or feel more intently, discover patterns in your life and relationships, elaborate on important insights and discoveries, as well as share my own experience of you.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults addressing a wide variety of issues, including, but not limited to:

  • Mood and Anxiety disorders
  • Adjustment disorders
  • ADHD
  • Caregiving
  • Parenting
  • Disruptive behavior disorders in children/adolescents
  • Trauma
  • Grief/loss
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Eating disorders

In addition, I provide psychodiagnostic and psycho-educational assessment services to children, adolescents and adults.

Background: I obtained my Clinical Psy.D. from the California School of Professional Psychology in 2015, and previously obtained my B.A. in Psychology from Indiana University. During my graduate training, I provided psychotherapeutic and psychological assessment services in residential, academic, and community mental health settings. Most recently, I completed my Predoctoral Internship at Azusa Pacific University’s Community Counseling Center serving both the Azusa community and college students.
