First, thank you for taking this pivotal step in seeking therapy as an act of self-care. I am eager to walk alongside you in your journey towards greater life fulfillment and enriching relationships with yourself and others. My goal as your therapist is to create and hold a space, which fosters greater self-love and deeper understanding and connection with your internal experience and the world around you. I do this through a psychodynamic and relationally focused foundation of practice while also incorporating elements of ACT and DBT. Primarily, I will work to meet you where you are in your journey. Having an integrative approach in practice allows for me to create a treatment plan that is meant to cater to your unique needs and season of life. While we work together to make the unconscious conscious and visit previous experiences, we will also provide healing to various wounded parts of you that are holding you back from reaching your full potential and inner peace in your current life, today.
As a child of immigrants, I value cultural diversity and understand and honor that no two humans are the same. This has translated into the type of clinical work and research that I do. In my clinical work I encourage cultural, ethnic and identity exploration in a nonjudgmental and safe space. As your therapist I will strive to continuously consider racial, socioeconomic, gender and sexual identity, and other cultural components that are of value to you, in order to understand what life is like through your eyes. This is because, as your therapist, it is my goal that all parts of you feel heard and accepted in order to move closer towards healing and liberation.
I work with a wide range of individuals experiencing mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, relational and interpersonal difficulty, family of origin concerns, and identity exploration and individuation, to name a few. I cannot wait to get to know one another and build a healing relationship in which I hope to provide you with a nurturing, transformative and restorative therapeutic experience.
